What Shipshe is

Shipshe is an independent guide to Shipshewana, Indiana, and the towns nearby, made by Indian Lakes Marketing. It is free to use. It is not part of Visit Shipshewana or the LaGrange County Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the businesses listed do not run it.

Check before you go

Hours, prices and details come from public sources and can change, especially with the seasons. We work to keep them right, but some will be out of date. If a trip depends on it, call the business first.

No promises about the places

Listing a business is not a recommendation or a guarantee. What you buy, eat or book is between you and the business. Shipshe is offered as it is, and Indian Lakes Marketing is not responsible for losses that come from relying on it.

Accounts

You do not need an account to use Shipshe. If you create one, keep your password to yourself. What happens under your account is your responsibility.

An account is for one person. Please do not share it, and do not create one for someone else.

We may close an account that is used to misuse Shipshe, such as trying to break the site, get at other people's details, or copy the listings in bulk. You can delete your own account at any time from the Me tab.

Managing a listing

Claim a listing only if you own the business or are allowed to act for it. What you tell us about a business must be true.

Managing a listing means we treat you as the person to speak for that business on Shipshe. It does not make the listing yours. We decide what Shipshe lists, we may correct or remove what is on a listing, and a business stays listed whether or not anyone has claimed it.

We use the details in a claim only to confirm it and to reach you about the listing.

If two people claim the same listing, the first claim we can confirm is approved. We may turn down a claim we cannot confirm. We may remove a manager if the business tells us that person does not act for it, or if the listing is misused. We will tell you by email when we do.

If you think the wrong person manages a listing, write to hello@shipshe.app.

Names and words

Business names belong to their owners. The writing and design of Shipshe belong to Indian Lakes Marketing; please do not copy them wholesale.
