Questions
For visitors
- Is Shipshe free?
- Yes.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Browsing, search and the filters work without one.
- Are the hours right?
- They come from each business's own listings and other public sources, and they change, especially with the seasons. If your plans depend on it, call ahead.
- Why is a place missing, or wrong?
- Tell us at hello@shipshe.app.
- Why do some places show only a town?
- Some are private homes (vacation rentals, home dining), so we show the town and not the address.
- Is Shipshe part of Visit Shipshewana?
- No. Shipshe is independent.
For business owners
- Is my business listed?
- Search for it on the claim page.
- How do I claim it?
- Find it on the claim page, then confirm it is yours. If you can read email at the address on your listing, we send a code there. If not, we call the number on your listing, within a few business days.
- Do I need an account?
- Yes, a free one. Create it first, then claim.
- What can I do once I have claimed it?
- It shows on your Me tab as yours, and we know who speaks for the business. Changing the listing yourself is still being built. Until then, email hello@shipshe.app and we will change it.
- Does it cost anything?
- Being listed and claiming your listing are free. Premium placement will be optional. Its price is not set yet.
- My business is not on Shipshe.
- Tell us about it and we will add it, if it is in or around Shipshewana and open to visitors.
- I run more than one business.
- Claim each listing. If they share a phone number, we can confirm them together.
- I do not use email.
- An account needs an email address. A family member or a manager can hold the account for the business.
- Someone else has claimed my business.
- Write to hello@shipshe.app and we will sort it out.
- Something about my business is wrong. Can you fix it now?
- Yes. Email hello@shipshe.app.
